He also said the decision and what he called the “lame” excuses given was out of line with global attempts to raise awareness about racism and inequality.

Apple paid a penalty of $113 million to settle a case filed by nearly three dozen states into the tech giant’s past practice of slowing customers’ old iPhones in an attempt to safeguard their batteries.
Due to this action, the company drew nationwide contempt. Apple’s consumers at the time saw it as an attempt to push them into buying newer and more expensive devices. But, Arizona, Arkansas, and Indiana soon opened scrutiny of the matter.
Arizona Attorney General Mark Bronchitic said in a statement. “I’m committed to holding these Goliath technology companies to account if they conceal the truth from their users.”
5. Coronavirus: Bill Gates’ Microchip’ Conspiracy Theory and Other Vaccine Claims Fact-Checked
Speculations about a future coronavirus vaccine got ramped up when Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates was associated with it. It was rumored that Bill Gates plans to implant microchips through these vaccines, which will help them track people’s movement.
Later on, no single evidence was found which could have supported these claims. Further, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation denied these claims by telling BBC that the request was “false.”
Rumors took a grip in March when Mr. Gates said in an interview, “eventually, we will have some digital certificates,” which would be used to show who had recovered, been tested, and ultimately received a vaccine. He made no mention of microchips.
