If we talk about a year in which you didn’t want to have a bad movie day at least, it was 2020. But sometimes we are not lucky enough to get what we exactly want, and thanks to an audience desperate for new content streaming dudes, they proved our “sad part of life” theory right with some miserable movies. Even Netflix doesn’t leave behind the streaming of movies which critics forcefully want to remember as the worst.

Sometimes even Oscar-winning movies to watch, others ultimately left their mark as “The 5 Worst Movies of 2020 You Don’t Want To Waste Your Time Watching,” and we have narrowed down the list for you according to the critics and audiences reviews in this blog.

The 5 Worst Movies of 2020 You Should Avoid Watching

Grab some popcorns, as now we’re going to discuss the worst movies of 2020 you should avoid watching:

1. The Last Thing he Wanted

Based on Joan Didion’s 1996 novel of the same name, the last thing he wanted was, unfortunately, a flop in the eyes of critics and the audience. Both of them considered it silly and tense that not even the A-list stars of the movie like Anne Hathaway, Ben Affleck, and William Dafoe could make it a success. Although it’s a mysterious series, it still got 4.3 ratings out of 10 based on customer’s shallow feedback!

The Plot

The plot revolves around Anne Hathaway (starring as a daughter of a journalist) taking a position of a veteran journalist, William Dafoe (starring as father), and finds herself at the center of breaking news as his father stops covering the 1984 Presidential election because of sickness. She takes charge of the arms dealer for Central America and learns the Iran-Contra affair.

2. Hillbilly Elegy

It could be an Oscar-winning movie because of a popular memoir by J.D. Vance and its direction by seasoned filmmaker Ron Howard. Still, the thing that went wrong was it was a kind of made-for-television movie because of its spilling over with melodrama and cliches nature. It’s a Netflix original, drama, and thriller series; still, I couldn’t make it to the point because of the ambiguous plot discussed further!

The Plot

In the plot of Hillbilly Elegy, a young man’s Kentucky homecoming before an extensive Yale interview where he finds himself resonating his future as well as three generations of his family.

3. The Night Clerk

Termed as boring by both critics and audience, a crime drama film by Michael Cristofer was another nightmare of 2020. Wanting something fun to watch in the movies and ending up being bored is not something that not a movie fan would appreciate, and that’s why the audience score came as 31% for a predictable plodding script. Again it’s a Netflix original, and I think the audience was not happy with the series’s plot, leaving behind negative feedback, making the series go down the lane.

The Plot

The story of this dramatic mystery has a hotel employee who finds himself protecting the guest in the middle of an investigation.

4. Holidate

The reason for getting Holidate – A Romantic Comedy film, in this list, is not just because of not having either a genuine laugh or romance but also because it has the same old happily-ever-after story, which doesn’t seem so romantic anymore. Amazingly, this movie created 5 million over the Box Office, and is a Netflix Original Series still couldn’t make it to the point because of the weak storyline, which made the audience yawn and bored!

The Plot

Fed up of being single on holidays, two young people try to keep their relationship platonic, ending up falling in love with each other.

5. Superintelligence

A romantic action comedy film by Ben Falcone and written by Steve Mallory was a movie critics got a review on rotten tomatoes as “I like all the actors, which is why I stayed for the ending, but it didn’t come together very well.” It’s a Comedy, Drama Movie, which was launched recently in 2020, but still, they can’t make it to the point because of the weak storyline.

The Plot

Everything goes well in the plot of superintelligence from the start of all-knowing AI follows the middle-aged white woman wherever she goes to see if humanity is that important to save or not.
